Good GOD I messed with this piece forever....
There's SO much in here I can't even begin to describe it.
Basically, I decided to make this an entry to the 3D contest as "Love" since I fully and completely love the work I do, and have never been happier with the work I've done than I am today. There's a freedom to it that you just don't have with a lot of other mediums...
...and the bonus of saving your character and screwing with them in a 3D-world is great for stress relief
But...
The image itself was sparked by a song lyric -
"Don't let nobody tell you your life is over
Be every color that you are..."

And I got to thinking...
There are a couple people here on DA who have recently had to deal with some major crap concerning their appearance, personal choices, etc, etc...basically a lot of crap that is nobody elses business but theirs...And these are some of the MOST beautiful people I know.
Now there are only a handful of people here who actually KNOW me, and know the levels of insanity that run deep behind the smirk...and there are a few more who THINK they know my definition of "obnoxious" but usually only end up confusing "obnoxious" with "hideous"...And it's the same sort of thing as the crap the people aforementioned have to deal with - judging someone before you really know them.
So this is somewhat of a self portrait, I suppose.
An expression of self actualization
And what the hell does that have to do with the contest?
Another reason I love 3D work...
Freedom.
The Freedom to create anything I like, any way I like, and have it look real - really real.
That's not something many people can say.

It really looks like she's having fun out of something, that facial expression just screams fun! I love the colours used in this - so psychadelic!
