For those who haven't heard the news today, Comic Legend, George Carlin, has passed on.

I know that not everyone liked him--whether for the language or the drug references, or his free-thinking point of view. But I loved him. I remember him from when I was a kid, and grew up with him. Most people don't even know that he does a lot of kids shows and movies, so even my children know who he is and my oldest was a bit shocked to learn that George was gone. The man looked damned good for 71, I think.

It's always a sad day when a comic passes on. One less person in the world to make us laugh uncontrollably at human stupidity, and invariably at ourselves.

So as I sit here, trying my damnedest not to cry before Shad wakes up to me bawling without the slightest idea why, I want you all to go to YouTube and flood the airwaves with George's genius.

He will be missed
