Firstly I want to say thank you to the folks who gave their opinion on whether I should try to get some figures made of Orchid
I've got a couple concepts in the works and I'll try to get those posted over the next few weeks to see which ones get the most attention
On the home front, it seems my luck has run out moneywise.We've started feeling the pinch of Shad's paycut (10% so they wouldn't have to lay people off) and trying to pay extra bills we didn't have before (homeowners insurance, student loans, work to the truck, etc). I'm trying to catch up on some LONG, LONG overdue commissions that should have been mailed out and see if I can't get more coming in. We haven't made it out to the gaming shop to put things on consignment, so here sits a mountain of prints that I'm willing to sell (The Epics set and a few others). I'm also going to overhaul my professional blog to update my commission costs (and offer "digital copy only" commissions).
Beyond the money troubles though, things are good. Caeser's doing fine and the kids are good. The weather is finally staying consistently above the freezing point during the day and we got to take puppy out for his first walk today (which took three times longer than it would have if it were just Shad and I since he had to inspect every leaf, twig, clod of dirt, stone and whatever else he came across). We were approved for our home improvement grant, though we might lose it because there's actually TOO MUCH wrong with the house for the grant to cover it
So staying hopeful, but not sure where that's going to take us.
So yeah, commissions are open again
and I'm crossing my fingers that once I get Orchid put up for sale, she'll take off

If I lost my job I would be so screwed.. don't think I could make mortgage cause 1.. harddd to find a job right now. 2.. if i found a job i doubt it would pay as well as the one i have now. So i doubt i could keep up with the bills and stuff i have.

We're hoping that all this crap at work is temporary, but they haven't given us a date as to when it will end. Work's picking back up again though, so we're *hoping* they'll put things back to normal soon, but there's no telling.
I just have to sit down with the books and see what I can do and where
