So where last week end Shad and I thought that we'd have trouble making it through until February, yesterday totally turned us around

We got the homeowners insurance on the house finalized, so we can get the grant from the state to fix this place up! And instead of having to wait for his W2 to come in the mail, he found out yesterday that he could print it up online and we can go today and get our taxes done so that tomorrow we can pay our taxes, back bills, his school (off, thank the gods) and hopefully the credit card, which will put us back to square with just about everything!

Money's been really tight around here so I've been looking at other places to put up prints, not that I'd leave dA, mind you, I've sold more through zazzle and even, *shudder*, cafepress in the last year than I have here, and that's disappointing

I don't know if putting $20 on AdCast would help at all, but may try that first before adding another place to my list. I've had a couple things that I promised to get in on in the next few months (that I shouldn't have any problems with still), but it's been hard to keep up with a few things because of cash flow.
So I'm taking this week as a sign. Even though yesterday headed out the Year of the Ox and it's not supposed to be a great year financially, 2009 is numerologically a good year, so maybe they'll cancel each other out, lol.
We shall see

In other news, GusGus is doing fine.

He's adjusted well and hasn't been nearly as much of a nuisance as I had expected a puppy to be, lol. He actually sleeps quite a bit, though as soon as he wakes up he reverts back into his noisy piranha-goat-pig-dog self. Shad's taken to calling him Franken-puppy, lol.

But the kids love him and Stan's been much more tolerant of him (though Gus has gotten bitch-slapped more than once by the Dude). Overall, we're very happy with our little minion.

Hope you're all doing well!

Good boy.
I think I'd pay money to see a dog get bitch-slapped by a cat like Stan XD
I was reading the other day that because the Ox has no element of fire and fire is necessary for monetary gain, that it's supposedly going to be a crappy money year, yeah =/
Seeing how the economy is going, it's not surprising, but like I said, numerologically, this is an "11 year" which is supposed to be a big deal, though it's more of a spiritual growth thing, than it would be general (or especially financial) growth.
